Mike Clattenburg’s new movie, Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day, will make its world premiere at the Atlantic Film Festival opening gala in Halifax on Sept. 17.
The movie chronicles the beloved pot and booze-laden stars Ricky, Julian and Bubbles as they are released from prison and “try to make their way on the straight and narrow.”
“This film is the quintessential opening for us -- celebrating the most successful film and TV franchise on the east coast -- while at the same time giving us the opportunity to pay tribute to such an amazing cast and crew,” festival director Lia Rinaldo said in a release. “Fans will love it.”
Festivalgoers can meet with the cast and crew after the screening at a red carpet Argyle Street block party. Tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 10 at www.atlanticfilm.com. A limited number of VIP movie/party tickets are available for $100.
