The federal and provincial governments yesterday pledged $25 million toward the Vancouver Aquarium’s $60-million expansion.

Construction will begin this fall and should be complete by 2013. It includes an expanded B.C.

Wild Coast exhibit, a new entry pavilion, a new gallery, and a new pool linking the B.C. Wild Coast and Canada’s Arctic habitats.

The eight renovation projects range from $1.5 million to $18 million each.
