In response to Calgarians’ demands for better safety on cycling routes and pedestrian walkways, the City of Calgary is providing an online survey, user counting and one-on-one interviews this week.

City administration wants to determine how to better pathway safety in response to the city’s rapid growth and usage of existing pedestrian and cycling pathways.

Council will review survey results in May 2011, when they will determine a way to solve the growing problem.

There are over 700 kilometres of multi-use pathway in Calgary.

The survey is available until Sept. 17 at calgary.ca/parks.
