HBO Canada will be the exclusive broadcaster in Canada for the concert celebration of Barack Obama’s inauguration as U.S. president.
“We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration” will air live on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET. Taking place on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, the event will be attended by president-elect Obama and Vice President-elect Biden.
Musical performers scheduled include Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Bono, Garth Brooks, Sheryl Crow, Shakira and Stevie Wonder.
In addition, historical passages will be read by Jamie Foxx, Martin Luther King III, Queen Latifah and Denzel Washington.
Obama will be sworn in on Tuesday.
