Community clinics for H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccinations are opening a week from today.
The Capital District Health Authority announced a complete schedule list for vaccination clinics starting Monday, Nov. 2 through to the end of next month. The CDHA is encouraging all adults and children to go to any of the clinics.
Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer Dr. Robert Strang urged everyone last Wednesday to get vaccinated to protect themselves against H1N1. His declaration came on the same day the federal government approved the vaccine.
“I think we are on the beginning of our second wave here in Nova Scotia,” Strang told reporters at a news conference last week, citing new cases being diagnosed in the province.
High-risk groups include young children, people under 65 with chronic conditions, and health care workers. However, Strang emphasized that everyone is susceptible.
