I was reading your article today about mother’s worrying and how they can show worry and concern in a positive way.
You have great advice to parents in this piece.
I especially like the comment on how parents need to be careful that their concern for their kids is evident, but they need to be careful not to show their personal fears.
I work for Kids Help Phone, and I wanted you to know that should you ever wish to speak to one of our counsellors about the things they are hearing from kids, I would be happy to set up an interview for you.
Because we are a confidential service, we really do hear all types of questions and concerns and worries children are having, and sometimes having some insight into what the average kid is facing give some parents a better perspective on their own child and their own worries for their child.
