Helian Williams: Nursing home worker charged with posting photo of patient’s genitals to Facebook

A New Jersey nursing home worker and her friend are facing charges after prosecutors say they took a photo of an elderly patient’s genitals and then posted it on Facebook.

26-year-old Helian Williams of Newark, who has since been fired from CareOne in Livingston, is accused of snapping the below-the-belt photo and then sending it to 21-year-old Michele Walker. Prosecutors then say Walker posted the photo on her Facebook page.

Ironically, CareOne’s mission statement says, “We treat residents, their families and each other with respect, dignity and compassion,” as Gawker points out.

“No one should be made to suffer humiliation, particularly at the hands of someone responsible for his or her care,” said Acting Insurance Fraud Prosecutor Ronald Chillemi, according to NBC.

Williams and Walker are both facing third-degree invasion of privacy and third-degree conspiracy charges.
