The pilot of a Cormorant helicopter made an emergency landing in Digby County yesterday after a warning light came on in the cockpit.

The chopper from Canadian Forces Base Greenwood landed in a field near Weymouth after there was an indication of a possible engine problem.

Capt. Scott Spurr of 14 Wing Greenwood says the Cormorant touched down as a precautionary measure after the indicator light came on.

There were no injuries among the five crew on the helicopter. The chopper has since headed back to Greenwood.
