Help sought in identifying woman

The Alberta Chief Medical Examiner’s office is asking for help to identify a woman found in a Fish Creek Park riverbed on May 13.

The woman’s body was found near Mallard Point in the park, and she was wearing light-blue jeans and a red GAP hooded sweatshirt with black boots.

The woman is estimated to be between 33 and 45 years old, five feet two inches and 157 pounds with thick, black shoulder-length hair. A number of tattoos were found on the body.

“We hope that someone will recognize this woman and come forward,” said Dr. Sam Andrews, Alberta’s assistant chief medical examiner. “We would like to be able to contact her family and give them some closure.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 403-297-8123.
