Herd roll with the hot hand

The Halifax Mooseheads are sticking with Anthony Terenzio.

The 17-year-old rookie will make his fourth consecutive start when the Halifax Mooseheads visit the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles for the first time this season, on Friday at 7 p.m.

Terenzio has a 2-1 record along with a 2.34 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage in four appearances since taking over for struggling 19-year-old Mathieu Corbeil on Nov. 12.

“His save percentage has been up over (.900) and he’s played well in each game,” said Mooseheads head coach Bobby Smith. “We have lots of confidence in both goalies but we decided Anthony will give us a real good chance to win.”

The Mooseheads drafted Terenzio in the sixth round, 95th overall, last June from the U.S. prep school Shattuck-St. Mary’s.
