High River man stabbed in home invasion

A High River man was stabbed during a home invasion Thursday night, the RCMP report.

At about 9:20 p.m., police say officers were called to a High River home. They were told four unknown men came into the house and started an argument.

During the confrontation, the male occupant and a woman who was with him were assaulted. At one point, police say, the male was stabbed by one of the suspects.

The four then left the home and fled in a car that was waiting on the street. The car is described as a newer model silver two-door Chev Cavalier with tinted windows.

Three of the suspects are described as being Caucasian males. The fourth was said to be possibly Native. All four ranged in age from 18 to 35 years old.

The male victim was treated and released for cuts received during the assault, none of which were life threatening. The female victim did not require medical attention.

The RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of 900 block 4th St. SW, saw the suspect vehicle or has any other information to contact the High River RCMP detachment at 403-652-2356.
