Ryan Hillier of Hammonds Plains was traded from the New York Rangers to the Anaheim Ducks over the weekend.

Hillier, a third-round draft selection in 2006, was a minor-league addition to the Rangers’ swap of forward Aaron Voros for defenceman Steve Eminger.

Injuries limited the 22-year-old former Halifax Mooseheads star to just 26 games last season, mostly in the East Coast Hockey League. He had just seven points.
