Holiday party was ‘group therapy’ session for Hillary Clinton supporters: Report

Hillary Clinton’s holiday party for donors was apparentlyanything but festive, Page Six reported.

The shindig was held at the Plaza Hotel in New York on Thursday for the Democratic presidential candidate’s top donors, who rubbed elbows with restaurateur Danny Meyer, Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Hollywood exec Harvey Weinstein and fashion designers Vera Wang and Tory Burch among others.

Clinton’s husband, Bill, daughter, Chelsea, and son-in-law, Marc Mezvinsky, were also in attendance, as weretop aides Huma Abedin, John Podesta and Robby Mook.

“It did bring a sense of closure,” one supporter told Page Six. “There was a spirit of, ‘We have taken the last eight years for granted,’ but people did walk out of there with a mission.”

Another guest said the party was “like a wake with a band” and “a little bit of group therapy and a lot of love.”
