Holt’s new home

Singer Patti LaBelle is welcomed by Holt GM Gary Balaski before heading up to the top floor to perform on stage.

I’ve never walked a “magenta” carpet before, but when it leads up to the door of the fabulous, new, $30 million Holt Renfrew store, I’m there with bells on.

Cheering crowds gathered early on Tuesday night to catch a glimpse of all the stars who came out to celebrate at the invite-only, VIP party. Pink lights sparkled throughout the three-level, 135,000-square-foot, Janson Goldstein-designed store as more than 1,000 guests sipped champagne and lounged amidst labels like Prada, Chanel, Gucci and more. Ladies, grab your credit cards and … CHARGE!

Hard to believe Desperate Housewife’s star Marcia Cross had twins only three months ago. Gracious and lovely, she looks simply stunning in basic black.

All the girls go wild for rocker Dave Navarro as he walks the “pink” carpet on his way in to DJ the party. Soon to be ex-wife Carmen Electra is strike No. 3

Guests Janelle Washington, left, Army and Navy heiress Jacqui Cohen, Christie King and fashion designer Feizal Virani are big Holt Renfrew fans.

Golden girls Tamara Taggart, left, of CTV-9, and Dawn Chubai, of Citytv, are looking glamorous, no matter what the weather.

A toast to fabulous Four Season’s chef Rafael Gonzalez who spent the better part of the day preparing food for the celebs and VIPs.

Pretty PR gal Tanis Tsisserev, left, schmoozes with the stars alongside CTV-9 news reporter Mike Killeen and his wife Jill, of Vancouver’s Fairmont hotels.

Vancouver Canucks’ centre Brendan Morrison scores big even off ice in some stylish Holt fashions.

News anchor Coleen Christie is doused in pink magenta light as she stands in the grand glass entrance way.

Iron chef Rob Feenie, of Lumiere restaurant fame, and wife Michelle are among the local VIPs in attendance.
