The United Way celebrated its successes of the past year and outlined its next set of goals with a presentation hosted by Enbridge at City Centre Church on Jasper Avenue yesterday. Former MP Anne McLellan and Mayor Stephen Mandel were invited as guest speakers.

“We every year try to pick something to engage our employees and this year we’ve picked the Homelessness Commission,” said Leon Zupan, senior vice-president of operations, Enbridge Pipelines and former campaign chair of the United Way.

Employees will help prepare boxes for those in need as well as volunteering in the community wherever they can.

“We want to make sure we’re focused on the mayor’s goal to end homelessness in our community,” said McLellan.
