Homicide investigation begins as RCMP unearth two bodies near Kamloops, B.C.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – Kamloops RCMP are investigating a double killing after two bodies were found in a shallow grave on a rural property north of Kamloops, B.C.

The discovery was made early Wednesday evening, less than a day after police cordoned off the property at Knouff Lake, about 400 kilometres northeast of Vancouver,

Homicide investigators say the bodies have not been identified.

The search was launched after the disappearance of 31-year-old Damian Marks and 24-year-old Ken Yaretz.

The roommates vanished without a trace more than a month ago.

One man was arrested in connection with the search of the property but Mounties say the charges against him are unrelated to the homicide investigation.
