St. Paul’s Hospital is looking for new doctors after allegedly suspending seven orthopedic surgeons for protesting patient wait times.

Providence Health Care, which operates St. Paul’s Hospital, reduced doctors’ clinic time and operating room access after they didn’t resume orthopedic services by 5 p.m. Monday night.

The hospital is now searching for new orthopedic surgeons. It maintains the surgeons weren’t fired or suspended.
