Huge laughs in next Apprentice: Green

Tom Green predicts the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice will be the most entertaining yet.

“It’s was ridiculous,” the comic said in a telephone interview from his home in L.A.

The Canadian actor, comedian and writer, best known for MTV’s The Tom Green Show and his feature film Freddy Got Fingered, is looking forward to watching the debauchery unfold starting Sunday when the second season of The Celebrity Apprentice airs.

Some of his fellow competitors included Dennis Rodman, Clint Black, Andrew Dice Clay, Joan Rivers and her daughter Melissa Rivers and Green said his main objective was to maintain a positive attitude and make each episode as funny as possible.

When arguments began, for example, he tried his best to encourage them.

“I’d just sort of listen intently to the person who was making the least sense and then that would give them confidence and they’d argue more,” he said.

One of the funniest things for him was to see Clint Black and Dennis Rodman screaming at each other, he said.

And they weren’t the only two of the 16 candidates to lose their cool.

Green couldn’t give away all of the show’s secrets, but he said there were several competitors who just didn’t get along. The combination of strong personalities with the challenging, 16-hour days filled with complicated tasks, created a very volatile situation.

“It makes for some pretty cool TV,” the 38-year-old said with a laugh.

The comedian found an ally in fellow funny man Andrew Dice Clay who has appeared several times as a guest on tomgreen.com, The Channel, where Green broadcasts a one-hour talkshow from his living room.

On the set of The Apprentice, the two jokesters continued the fun and games, adding some much needed comic relief to the mix.

“We were almost able to be a bit of a tag team as far as creating mass confusion and hysteria,” Green said.

Overall, it was a great experience that Green said he would do all over again if he had the chance.

The Celebrity Apprentice premieres the evening of Sunday, March 1 at 9 p.m. ET, and candidates will face the judgment of Donald Trump, his advisers and his two grown children, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
