Four straight wins have helped the Saint Mary’s Huskies men’s hockey team clinch a playoff spot.
The Huskies (14-6) trail only the first-place New Brunswick Varsity Reds in the Atlantic University Sport standings after beating the Acadia Axemen 4-3 on the road on Friday and the Dalhousie Tigers 5-2 at home on Saturday.
Fourth-year forward Marc Rancourt had a goal and two assists on Friday to boost his AUS-leading point total to 41.
Dal, meanwhile, dropped to 4-14 on the weekend, also losing 6-3 at home to the St. Francis Xavier X-Men.
