What’s Ape House about?

It’s about a family of language-competent bonobo apes ... and a look at the people who surround (and love them). It (also looks) at the culture of celebrity and reality TV.

What inspired you to write Ape House?

I learned about the language studies going on at the Great Ape Trust and ... over the course of three years I’ve developed a real, lasting friendships with the (language-competent apes there).
