According to a press release from IKEA, no incidents of injury have been reported in the United States. There were 20 incidents reported worldwide, including 10 scalding injuries.
IKEA is urging those who have purchased to cups to stop using them immediately and return them to any IKEA store for a full refund.
The cups were sold at sores and IKEA’s website from August 2012 through April 2013 for approximately $5.
While it’s nice IKEA is providing a full refund, the question remains: Will you drive all the way to IKEA or spend an hour on public transportation for $5 refund?
