Impaired driving arrest leads to grow-op charges

Three people are facing drug charges following the search of a home in Lower Sackville this week.

Halifax RCMP say a 45-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving on Monday at 3:12 a.m. When making the arrest, police allege they came across what looked to be a marijuana grow operation in a residence on Sami Drive.

Police say they executed a search warrant and seized over 20 marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia.

The 45-year-old, along with a 22-year-old man and 60-year-old are each charged with cultivation of a controlled substance. They will appear in court on April 21.
