The world’s largest air-supported dome atop B.C. Place stadium was deflated Tuesday in Vancouver. Hundreds watched from nearby streets and buildings as the iconic white dome came down. A $563-million retractable roof will be installed over the next 13 to 17 months. In the interim, the B.C. Lions and Vancouver’s 2011 MLS expansion team will play in a temporary stadium in East Vancouver adjacent the PNE.
