Industrial accident sends man to hospital

A man was taken to hospital with a head injury after a medal stud fellon him yesterday during an industrial accident in the BurnsideIndustrial Park.

A man was taken to hospital with a head injury after a medal stud fell on him yesterday during an industrial accident in the Burnside Industrial Park.

Halifax Regional Police say at just after 9:30 a.m., the employee at the electrical equipment and supply wholesaler Harris & Roome, which is located at 260 Brownlow Ave., was working in the warehouse and piling medal studs.

One of the studs ended up falling and striking the victim in the head, causing him to be cut.

He was taken to the QEII Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
