The inquiry into the death of Frank Paul is scheduled to resume Nov. 3, 2010.
The Davies Commission is expected to call lawyers from the Ministry of the Attorney General to explain why the Crown decided not to charge the officers involved.
Paul died of hypothermia in December 1998 after police dropped him off in an alley.
During the initial inquiry that began November 2007, the Crown refused to testify based on the principle of prosecutorial independence.
