CARDIGAN, P.E.I. – Police in P.E.I. are reminding people to lock their doors after a couple awoke to find an intruder opening their bedroom door early today.
Police say the person fled the home in Cardigan when the couple woke up at about 3:15 a.m.
RCMP members searched the area, but did not find anyone.
They say no one was injured and nothing was taken from the home.
Police say they believe the intrusion would not have happened if the home’s door was locked.
