What’s the premise?
Climb into the most powerful suits of armour ever made and take down a legion of diverse bad guys in this adaptation of the blockbuster new Hollywood film starring Robert Downey Jr.

This game is most similar to…?

A little bit Marvel Ultimate Alliance (without the alliance) and kind of Spider-Man 3.

Is it suitable for younger gamers?

The very first level of this game sees Iron Man using a flamethrower as his primary weapon against armed soldiers. I’m not ready to have the discussion with my kids about why it’s OK to burn people to death in video games, are you?

One player or more?

Just you and about a dozen different suits of armour.

The (not-so) secret to success is…?
You can run and you can hide. This game gets pretty tedious pretty quickly as every level seems to involve a horde of heavily armed enemies that unload on you from every direction. Try using cover whenever you can to prevent being roasted in your armour.

What’s missing?

Not your enemies, that’s for sure. It really is staggering how much ammunition they bring with them on every mission.

And in the end?

Playing around in the Iron Man suits is fun and the graphics are really nice, but this game is far too repetitive and should have been much better than it turned out.
