It’s never too late to start all over again

Renee Barda gave up a promising singing career to get married and start a family. Now in the second act of her life, Renee is proving it’s never too late to start over again.

Her talent was noticed at a young age, but on the eve of an important audition at Covent Garden in London, England, Renee decided to give up her career, get married and start a family.

Once she made her decision, Renee silenced her beautiful voice and didn’t sing a note for 30 years.

In 2003, Renee found herself at another crossroads in life. After a long illness her husband had passed away and her sons were now starting families of their own.

“Whatever happened to your voice?” someone asked her. “You never did anything with it.”

The next day Renee stepped into the shower and as the water coursed down her face, she began to sing. Renee sang of lost love and of life and family. She started to cry. Her voice had not let her down; it had been there all along, just waiting for her to bring it back to life.

Renee made a triumphant return to the stage. “When I finished, the whole audience stood up and many were yelling, ‘Bravo.’” Renee now has a new purpose in life.

“I have a big vision to inspire the world with my voice and my story. If I can reach people who have given up, I want to tell them to step back into it with everything they’ve got. Just go out there and do it. It doesn’t matter what age you are.”

Follow her lead and dust off that old passion. Make it a turning point for you.
