Michael Jackson’s remains may have to be exhumed for further testing in connection with the manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, according to News of the World.

Murray lawyers reportedly want to challenge the findings of the original autopsy, arguing that misuse of other drugs brought about Jackson’s death, not the drugs administered by Murray.

“If the tests don’t concur with the coroner’s findings, they have the start of a strong defense,” a source says. “The logical next step would be to exhume the body to make new tests.”

Jackson’s family is reportedly “dreading” such a situation. “They laid Michael to rest and for him to return is just sick,” a friend of the family says.
