Janet Jackson is finally planning a public tribute to her late brother Michael Jackson. The singer is reportedly putting together an act to honour him for this weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards, according to MSNBC.

“It’s all about getting people to forget about the Super Bowl,” a source close to the preparations said, referring to Jackson’s infamous 2004 wardrobe malfunction. “She needs to get that behind her, she’s not quite there yet.”

Jackson also told Harper’s Bazaar in a new interview that since her brother’s death, she’s been unable to watch television.

“It will drive you crazy,” usmagazine.com quotes her as saying. “People can have rhinoceros skin, but there’s a point when something’s going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven’t watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, ‘How’s Obama doing?’”
