Justin fancies Kiehl’s, Hermès and a wee bit of Olay self-tanner

Justin Ryan

Justin Ryan, co-host of Colin & Justin: How Not To Decorate, airing on Tuesday and Saturday night on HGTV; their new show, Home Heist, debuts in early October:

Q: What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: If I fancy a bit of tan I use Olay Everyday Sunshine. I apply it before bed so it can brew while I sleep. I love smelling fresh and I adore Terre by Hermès. I also adore anything by Kiehl’s, particularly their lovely scent, Musk.

Q: Describe your style?

A: I’m quirky Scottish with a cool Canadian twist. It’s all about investing in classic pieces that can be dressed up or down according to mood and need.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: Our balance comes from Colin and I being a couple on and off screen. At the end of the day, each one of us is there for the other one if anything gets out of hand.

We live in a great world but there are so many people who have so much less. I remind myself of this. I do whatever I can to help others.

Q: What are your healthy eating habits?

A: Less is more. I never over eat (pudding only on special occasions). I boost my diet with a vitamin and supplement.

Chew slowly, and let the steak pie beat a path to your tummy before tucking into that brownie. Could be you’re already full up… but just haven’t quite realized it!

Jennifer Baxter

Jennifer Baxter, actress, plays Robin Howland on the comedy series Billable Hours airing Sunday night on Showcase:

Q: What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: Lots of water and a good night sleep really does make me feel and look better. I use Jurlique or Dr. Hauschka creams.

Sometimes I use Thayer’s witch hazel toner after I’ve worn a lot of make-up. I like simple cleansers like Cetaphil. I love trying to find the perfect product!

Q: Describe your style?

A: My style is dependent on my mood. I range from girly feminine to tomboy rocker. I like how the Brits such as Kate Moss, pull it all together. I mix vintage with trends (cheap knockoffs, though!). I can’t imagine spending a couple hundred bucks on one top when I could get six.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: I grew up in a teepee and had to churn butter, pack water and pee outside so everything in my life is a luxury.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A: I have a bad back so I try to do yoga a few times a week. I also hike everyday, thanks to the dog.

Q: What are your healthy eating habits?

A: I love food and cooking. I eat everything in moderation. I try to eat whole, organic foods and if I feel sluggish I cut back on my sugar intake.
