VICTORIA – Tim Bozon scored once and set up one more as the Kamloops Blazers defeated the host Victoria Royals 5-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Colin Smith, Brendan Ranford, Brock Balson and JC Lipon also scored for the Blazers (35-11-4), who regained top spot in league standings.
Tim Traber scored the lone goal for the Royals (16-29-5).
Cam Lanigan made 26 saves for the win while Keith Hamilton turned aside 31 shots in defeat.
Kamloops went 2 for 5 on the power play as Victoria failed to score on five opportunities with the man advantage.
