Actor Katie Boland

Katie Boland, actor, stars in the feature film Mount Pleasant:

Q: What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: I really believe getting dolled up can make all the difference in your mood. I use Tarte cheek and lip stain, Lancôme mascara, liquid eyeliner and cover-up. I have been obsessed with lipstick since I was three, so having a bright colour on can make my day that much better.

Q: Describe your style?

A: I like being casual and quirky. I like to mix and match a lot of different looks. Someone who really inspires me is designer Marc Jacobs.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: I would say I’m a fairly grounded person. I work very consciously at not letting the small stuff get to me.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A: I go to the gym and do the cross trainer, spin classes, Pilates. I am a big fan of long walks with my iPod.

Q: What are your healthy eating habits?

A: I believe in moderation and not depriving yourself. I try to eat low-carb, but it just so happens carbs are delicious!

Actor David Paetkau

David Paetkau, actor, plays Beck McKaye on CTV’s Whistler:

Q: What products that you use make you look and feel good?

A: Right now, in Vancouver and for a limited time only, water with high turbidity is making me look good. I don’t feel so hot using it though.

Q: Describe your style?

A: I feel the most comfortable in T-shirts and jeans. Fashion trends are usually pretty easy for guys to follow. If you feel like an idiot in the clothes you are wearing then you probably look like an idiot too.

Q: What things make life easier?

A: Electricity, heat and double-paned glass.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A: I do a lot of yoga and play a lot of hockey. Covers all the bases and keeps me balanced.

Q: What are your healthy eating habits?

A: I just do things in moderation.
