Who would want to go into the trades when they see there’s little money in it. On the construction sites there is only one licensed electrician or plumber, the rest are apprentices that get way less money and don’t have jobs when they get licensed. The big companies make the money, not the trades. Do you know any tradesmen with a Mercedes or Jag? That’s what the kids want.
Trades are a union job and the government is actually hateful toward unions. Kids read the news in this age, they know the score. It’s easier to wear a suit and sit in a cubicle, it pays better and you don’t get dirty.
