Kim Mitchell, Sass Jordan to headline free charity show at Civic Centre

Kim Mitchell, Sass Jordan and the Downchild Blues Band will be headlining a free concert at the Ottawa Civic Centre Saturday night.

An all-ages event, Rock for Public Service, presented by CUPE, will accept donations at the door, with all proceeds going towards the Ottawa Boys and Girls Club.

One of Canada’s quintessential rock icons, Kim Mitchell, known for his hits Go For A Soda, Patio Lanterns and I Am A Wild Party, recently released a new album, Ain’t Life Amazing. He also hosts the afternoon drive on Q107 in Toronto.

The Queen of Canadian rock n’ roll, Juno Award-winning artist Sass Jordan has sold over one million CDs worldwide.

The legendary Downchild Blues Band celebrated their 40th anniversary last year and is known for their hits Flip, Flop and Fly, I Have Everything I Need (Almost) and Shotgun Blues.
