Musicians Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Paul Stanley of KISS are seen here at a previous performance. They will rock Whister on Sept. 15.

KISS will rock Whistler Sept. 15 at an outdoor show on Blackcomb Mountain, it was announced yesterday.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be playing host to this legendary band,” said Whistler mayor Ken Melamed.

The venue will be the Coca-Cola Tube Park and there will be barbecues and beer gardens before the show.

The opening acts and on-sale date for tickets have not yet been announced, and KISS has not announced a tour or any new performances.

KISS has been touring on and off since 1973 and is famous for outrageous make-up, on-stage theatrics and hard-rock hits such as Rock And Roll All Nite.
