Canadian music artists will join the global Earth Hour movement to express their hope for action on climate change at the free celebration, Earth Hour Unplugged, at Yonge-Dundas Square.

Internationally renowned singer Chantal Kreviazuk, R&B artist Jarvis Church, and singer Justin Nozuka will perform on stage.

“We only have one planet and I want my children to enjoy all the beauty and nature this world has to offer,” says Kreviazuk. “My wish for the Earth is for every person to take positive action for the planet in their everyday life and make the environment healthier for our children and their children.”

In addition to the concert, there will be games, street performers, and other entertainment.

Members of the public will also be asked to write down their wish for the Earth to be hung on Earth Hour Wishing Trees around the square.
