Feminists stormed Citadel Hill yesterday to spell out words with their bodies.
And not just a couple words either, but six: “Harper give funding back to women.”
“I think now ‘Harper’ is happening over there and we’re going to do one or two words at a time,” said Rebecca Rose with the Feminist League for Agitation Propaganda.
She said the federal government has been eroding funding to women’s organizations and human rights groups for years.
“We want to draw attention to the issue and make sure they’re held to account.”
They didn’t have much of an audience yesterday morning, just a couple workers who gave them some odd looks as they trimmed the grass on Citadel Hill.
