There will be no midnight debates on the Lansdowne partnership proposal — at least not around the council table.
One of the first orders of business at a special council meeting was to pass a motion that would have the meeting wrap up at 7 p.m. on Thursday and on Friday. If more time is required to debate the issue, council would resume the debate on Monday.
Initially public delegations had been scheduled to go until 11:50 p.m. at the earliest.
There were a number of councillors who had expressed displeasure at having residents come in at such an awkward time.
