Letter to Toronto editor
I feel for all of the legitimate protesters who travelled to Torontoin the hopes of voicing their disapproval or other views surroundingthe G20 and G8 summits being hosted in Canada.
Toronto. Free speech makes you look smart, crime makes you look stupid.
I feel for all of the legitimate protesters who travelled to Toronto in the hopes of voicing their disapproval or other views surrounding the G20 and G8 summits being hosted in Canada.
They were doing something that is legal and completely respected in Canada: They were enjoying their right to speak freely about our government and their decisions.
I feel for them because they were lumped in with all the criminals, and yes, I did say criminals:
Those who decided to use this opportunity to say nothing and take blatantly illegal actions that prove nothing to the government besides how childish their citizens are acting.
The media is one of the most powerful tools in this world. Believe it or not, our government is influenced by what happens in the media.
Thanks for wasting this tool by committing senseless and pointless acts that, of course, overtook the media, ensuring no one’s legitimate concerns were heard and nothing got accomplished in the sea of madness.
