The London Lightning maintained their perfect record yesterday with an 81-70 victory over the Saint John Mill Rats.
The game, played in New Brunswick, was a story of anemic offences in the first half, as the Lightning and Mill Rats stumbled to 32-30 London lead after two quarters.
Lightning shooters found their strokes in the second half as the team rode a 28-point fourth quarter to victory. Forward Tim Ellis paced London’s offensive attack with 18 points.
London is in first place in the NBL of Canada, which last week named Lightning’s Gabe Freeman player of the week.
