Lineup questions abound for Herd

The Halifax Mooseheads have some lineup question marks as they prepare for a pair of weekend road games in New Brunswick.

The Mooseheads, who are 0-2 and kick off a six-game road trip against the Bathurst Titan on Friday and the Saint John Sea Dogs on Saturday, are looking for a backup goalie and waiting to hear if they’ll have top defencemen Konrad Abeltshauser and Sawyer Hannay back from NHL camps.

With Peter Delmas away at training camp with the Montreal Canadiens and Mathieu Corbeil likely not ready to return from a broken bone in his hand, the Mooseheads are down to 17-year-old rookie Anthony Terenzio in goal. Complicating matters is the fact that third-stringer Randy Chisholm is out with a concussion.

Abeltshauser and Hannay are competing at the NHL Young Stars tournament in Penticton, B.C., with the San Jose Sharks and Vancouver Canucks, respectively.
