The once lagging housing market in Edmonton is back on the rise according to recent released stats.
The numbers according to the Realtors Association of Edmonton’s Multiple Listing Service shows clear signs of improvement, with sales on property up and improving home prices.
In the city and the surrounding area, 2,384 condos were sold in June 2009 compared to 1,778 for the same time last year which is an increase of 34 per cent.
Starter homes sale times were also on the rise this year, with houses up to $339,000 on the market on a median of 33 days compared to 45 days last year.
