The 28-year-old Nanaimo photographer has found herself short-listed — via fan voting from 1,000 semi-finalists — as one of the top 10 finalists in Maxim Magazine’s annual Hometown Hotties competition.

“It’s been crazy fun,” said Teresa, who recently returned from Las Vegas where she spent six days modelling in various shoots for the magazine and its sponsors.

In the first shoot she wore “really nice red shoes and a bow — and that’s it … but it’s Maxim, they’ll make you look great. I’m not too worried.”

She said the publicity since her husband, Alec, also a photographer, entered her into the contest has been good for business. She gets as many as 100 new Facebook friend requests a day.

Teresa said she began modelling in Nanaimo as a teen and jokes that at the time her dream was to be in a Pantene Pro-V hair commercial.
