Police have arrested and charged an Ottawa man in connection with an attempted child abduction that took place last month.
On Sept. 3, a woman was waiting at an OC Transpo bus terminal at 1300 St Laurent Blvd. with her two children, when she turned around and observed an unknown male walking away carrying her three-year-old daughter. The suspect was confronted by another male and immediately returned the child without incident.

Police had issued a request to the public seeking assistance in locating two potential witnesses to the incident.
Ntumba Dominique Kasonga, 40, appeared in Ottawa court Wednesday to face charges of attempt abduction, assault, and breach of recognizance.
