Here’s what Boston Googled the most in 2019

Have you ever been curious as to what Boston Googles the most? Google has some answers, as the company recently shared a list of search trends in major U.S. cities.

To determine the 2019 Year in Search, Google looked at the trillion search queries over the year. Google said that these aren’t the most searched for topics by the number of searches because those don’t often change from year to year. They looked at trending queries that had high spikes in traffic over a period of time from 2018 to 2019 and put together a list of the top 10 trends per city. 

Googled shared with Metro the top trending words for Boston: 

Bruins

Antonio Brown

Nipsey Hussle

David Ortiz

Game of Thrones

Olivia Ambrose

Disney Plus

Jussie Smollett

Robert Kraft

Avengers Endgame

Some commonalities between Boston and the United States were Antonio Brown, Nipsey Hussle, Game of Thrones, Disney Plus, Jussie Smollett, and Avengers Endgame. Over half of them were the same. 

The four searched-for items that did not make the national list include the Bruins, David Ortiz, Olivia Ambrose, and Robert Kraft. 

The number one term searched for in the Boston area, was none other than the Boston Bruins. The famous hockey team has been around since 1924.  They are the second-best team in the Eastern Conference and made the Stanley Cup Final in June.
