It’s after Halloween so that means that Christmas music will soon be on your favorite (or least favorite) radio station, so when – exactly does the Christmas music onslaught start this fall and on what Boston channel?
No Boston stations are advertising Christmas and Holiday music just yet but doing a little digging we can do some guesswork as to when the music madness starts. Last year, Magic 106.7 started playing Christmas music on Nov. 18 – the Friday before Thanksgiving. This year, the Friday before Thanksgiving is on Nov. 17, so we can pencil that date in as the start. Here are a list of Boston stations that have played Christmas music frequently in the past with links.
Boston sports radio station 98.5 The Sports Hub recently made light of how early Christmas music starts on the radio each year and claim they were the first to play a song this season.
