And now, just as millennials have come in and taken over brunch with their avocado toast and hoverboards, there is a new whipper-snapper making a splash in NYC: Avocado Rat.
And yes, his digs are in Brooklyn.
In the clip, we can see the rat carrying the avocado slice — which some commenters are certain is a lime (Margarita Rat?) —but where is he bringing it?
If millennials can’t afford to be homeowners because of their penchant for all things avocado, as Australian millionaire Tim Gurner said during a “60 Minutes Australia” interview, what would he have to say about Avocado Rat?
“When I was trying to buy my first home, I wasn’t buying smashed avocado for $19 and four coffees at $4 each,” he said about human avocado munchers. “We’re at a point now where the expectations of younger people are very, very high.”
We aren’t sure what Gurner expects from this little rodent dude, but live your best life, Avocado Rat, and brunch like a boss.
