Columbus Day Street Closures and MTA info

On Monday, October 9 the 2017 Columbus Day Parade will move along Fifth Avenue in New York City. 

The parade is considered the world’s largest celebration of Italian-American culture. This year the parade will be led by Grand Marshal Leonard Riggio, Chairman of Barnes & Noble.

Whether you have to work on Monday or plan on being in the city for the parade, you should know there will be several street closures in the area.

According to the New York City Police Department and the Department of Transportation, the following streets will be closed on Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST for the 2017 Columbus Day Parade.

As for MTA bus service, the following routes could be affected during the parade: M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M7, M20, M31, M42, M50, M57, M66, M72, M79, M101, M102, M103, Q32, BM1, BM2, BM3, BM4, BM5, BxM3, BxM4, BxM6, BxM7, BxM8, BxM9, BxM10, BxM11, QM1, QM2, QM4, QM5, QM6, QM15, QM20 and QM21.
