Disgruntled cyclists break Bronx Burger King drive-thru window

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a cyclist who became irate and smashed the drive-thru window of a Bronx Burger King when employees refused to serve him.

Investigators on Tuesday released surveillance video on social media in the hopes someone will come forward with more information about the Aug. 27 incident. The tweet read, “WANTED for a Criminal Mischief inside of 149 Street (Burger King) #Motthaven #bronx @NYPD40Pct on 8/27/19 @ 7:50 PM Reward up to $2500 Seen him? Know who he is? Call 1-800-577-TIPS or DM us! Calls are CONFIDENTIAL! #YourCityYourCall @News12BX @bronxchronicle @NY1”

It was reported that the cyclist got into a dispute with 19-year-old Burger King employee at the store located in the Bronx at 149th Street. The employee told the cyclist that he was not allowed to pick up food at the take-out window as long as he was on a bike.

The disgruntled cyclists was seen on footage waving his cell phone through the window. He closed the window and hit it several times. The police reported that the cyclist used a chain to strike the window, causing it to shatter.

Reports say that no injuries were reported and that the man fled the scene. It not clear what direction the cyclist left in.
